Tyler Coppin
General American Accent • Acting Trainer

American born and raised Tyler Coppin is one of Australia’s earliest coaches of the US Accent having started during the 80’s wave of Aussie actors to Hollywood. Today he continues to train many of the actors of our young and exciting generation. A few of his past clients are Heath Ledger, Madeleine Madden, Melissa George, Joel Edgerton, Magda Szubanski, Ben Mendelsohn, and Mavournee Hazel (Piper Willis from Neighbours). Actors and students love working with Tyler because of his passionate, warm and thorough approach that gets them the results they want. An added plus is his own unique story of always having had one foot in Australia and the other in the USA, and his decades-long career as a respected and award-winning actor with an ardent devotion to the craft. A graduate of Australia’s prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Art, Tyler coaches privately in studio, via Skype, and on-set for film and tv. He also teaches group and masterclasses in Gen Am Accent and Acting to actors and students of varying ages and levels at many of the major performance academies in Australia. He lives in Melbourne.
